What a great day with Lorraine Arcus! Our scenes were set and the props waiting for our children to tell the story of Chanukah. Our classes were so excited to share their classroom menorahs which they made in preparation of this day. Each child became a character from the story. Maccabees, Antiochus, the Syrian soldiers, and elephants. As the story was told, all the children acted out the story.
How much fun would it be for your students to dress up and become the personalities in the holiday stories! Using easy to make (or collect) costumes, teacher and student crafted scenery and props, and scripts written by Lorraine, teachers will be able to add this exciting dimension to holiday celebrations.
